Sandy tried a some new techniques with this piece. She gessoed a piece of hardboard with Matisse Background Colour (off white), drew the figure and rats using a graphite pencil and Derwent water soluble graphite. Then, painted a coating of shellac over the image and glazed with oils mixed with Archival Flow Gel Medium.Sunday, June 1, 2008
